 County Building Renovation Update:
Departmental Moves and Open House Date

BELLAIRE, Mich. – The Antrim County Clerk’s Office, after months of operating in temporary quarters, is moving back to Room 100, their former location in the Antrim County Building, 203 East Cayuga Street, Bellaire.

County Clerk Sheryl Guy said that she and her staff “are very anxious to be back in the County Clerk’s Office and look forward to serving the public.”

The offices of Grass River Natural Area have reopened in Room 214. The MSU Extension offices will return to Room 210 the week of May 13. Also that week, renovations to the Administration Office (Room 204) will begin. The permanent public entrance is scheduled for completion by the end of May, and will be located at the southeast corner of the building.

At project completion, the Building Department will be on the first floor, where their services will be more accessible to homeowners and contractors. A date for that move has not yet been finalized, but will likely be early June.

An open house is scheduled for 3 pm to 5 pm on Thursday, June 20. The open house will provide an opportunity for the public to visit the new locations of departments. Additional details will be provided soon.

Funding for this safety-driven renovation was primarily provided by the Federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) grant. For more information on the project, please contact the Antrim County Administration Office at countyadmin@antrimcountymi.gov or call us at 231-533-6265.
