Financial Assistance Information

ACVA offers a variety of financial assistance options for residents of Antrim County.  If you are a veteran, dependent, or surviving spouse who is experiencing an emergent and unforeseen situation that is causing a financial hardship, we can work with you to help alleviate that burden. The two main funds available are the County Veterans Relief Fund (CVRF) and the Michigan Veterans Trust Fund (MVTF). We also offer assistance with emergency grocery and vehicle fuel, utility shut-off prevention, rental/mortgage/land contract assistance, home repairs, property taxes, vehicle payment/repairs, and county transportation bus passes.  Regarding medical expenses, ACVA is the payer of last resort after all other resources have been pursued. ACVA does not pay for fines, fees, or lawyers.
