North Country Community Mental Health is the public behavioral health agency serving northwest lower Michigan. They provide services to residents who are experiencing emotional problems, mental illness, or developmental disability.
The State of Michigan's Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS) has an office on the first floor of the County Building. DHHS can provide food assistance, cash assistance, child care and adult services. DHHS also deals with foster care and adoption issues.
