Assistant Cook

Antrim County is now taking applications for the position of Assistant Cook at the Antrim County Jail. Under the direct supervision of the Sheriff, led by the Food Service Director, the Assistant Cook shall prepare, cook and serve meals, including those required for special diets; care for cooking equipment and do routine work in food preparation and service, including kitchen cleaning; and do related work as required. Applicant must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Serv-Safe Certification (training will be provided). Must be 18 years of age or older. Starting wage is $11.53 per hour, and conforms to a graduated three (3) year pay scale. This position is a part-time, irregular position. Hours include Thursday – Friday 3:30 – 7 p.m. and Saturday – Sunday 7 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. and 4 – 7 p.m. – split shift.
