Emergency Services

Emergency Management personnel focus on planning for and guiding the response to low-probability, high-impact events. Working closely with local, state and federal partners, Emergency Management can assist the community throughout the stages of an emergency or disaster: Prevention, Preparedness, Response, Recovery, and Mitigation. Emergency Management operates in conjunction with: Area Law Enforcement Agencies, Fire Departments, Emergency Medical Services, Search & Rescue Agencies, American Red Cross, R.A.C.E.S /Amateur Radio, National Weather Service and CERT (Community Emergency Response Team).

When the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is "stood up," the Emergency Management Coordinator works with EOC personnel to manage large-scale emergencies and disasters.
