About the Treasurer
The duties and responsibilities of the Treasurer are as provided by state law, Board of Commissioners’ resolutions and our community. The principal functions of the County Treasurer’s Office are to receive, maintain custody of and disburse all county monies; maintain records of receipts and disbursements of monies from all County departments; manage the investments of the County; collect and distribute, to all County governmental units, delinquent property taxes; certify tax searches, deeds, plats and other instruments of title; in charge of dog license program.

The Treasurer is a member of the Plat Board, the Elections Commission, the County Apportionment Commission, the County Brownfield Redevelopment Authority, and the County Economic Development Corporation.
