On January 10, 1989, Prosecuting Attorney Bryan E. Graham, sent a letter to the Antrim County Clerk Laura Sexton regarding procedures to follow after Ordinances are passed. The following information was given:

Pursuant to P.A. 227 of 1988, the procedure to follow after the Board passes an ordinance has been changed. Under these amendments, here is what is required:

1. The Clerk of the Board must engross the Ordinance, which shall be signed by the Chairperson of the County Board of Commissioners and certified by the clerk of the County Board.

2. The Ordinance must then be published one (1) time in a newspaper of general circulation in the county.
