3.        Jail Generator

Chris Dewey, electrical contractor, and Bruce Otte, from Bridgeway-Cummins Power, joined the meeting to present options to replace the generator in the jail.  At the last Committee meeting the Committee decided to initiate the emergency purchase provisions of the bid policy.  The Committee worked with Mr. Dewey and Mr. Otte to amend the generator specifications which will result in a final price.  Mr. Otte thought the price of the generator unit would not exceed $35,000.

Motion by Gene Dawson, supported by Larry Bargy, to approve the purchase of a diesel generator for the jail as presented with changes, as well as installation.  The purchase will take place on an emergency basis.  Motion carried – unanimous.
