U.S. and Canadian citizens will need to present either a WHTI-compliant document, or a government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license, plus proof of citizenship, such as a birth certificate. DHS also proposes to begin alternative procedures for U.S and Canadian children at that time.

Passport Applications are available and processed through the Clerk's Office.

Adult Passports (16 yrs. & older) are good for 10 years.

Child Passports (under 16 yrs. old) are good for 5 years.

TWO SEPARATE CHECKS/MONEY ORDERS

1. ANTRIM COUNTY CLERK: $25.00 (ADULT/CHILD)
2. U.S.DEPARTMENT OF STATE: $75.00 (ADULT) $60.00 (CHILD)

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLYING FOR A PASSPORT:

• 2 - Passport Photos
• Proof of Birth - A Certified Birth Certificate with a raised seal OR Previous Passport
• Driver's License - The parent's driver's license may be used on a Child's Passport (under 16 yrs. old)

NOTE: EFFECTIVE FEBRUARY 1,2008 - Children under age 16 require BOTH parents' signatures on application.

YOU MUST SIGN APPLICATION IN FRONT OF THE COUNTY CLERK OR REPRESENTATIVE.

Do Not sign application until you submit it for processing at County Clerk's Office.

You can file your own Passport Renewal Application if you can answer YES to ALL of the following questions:

1. I can submit my most recent U.S. Passport
2. I was at least 16-years old when my most recent U.S. Passport was issued.
3. I was issued my most recent U.S. Passport less than 15-years ago.
4. I use the same name as on my most recent U.S. Passport OR i have had my name changed by marriage or court order and can submit proper documentation to reflect my name change.

The passport processing fee for RENEWAL is $ 75.00.

RENEWAL FORMS are available through the Clerk's Office.

Requirements are the same as if applying for a regular passport.

Passport cards are not for travel by air. Valid only for land and sea crossings between the U.S. and Canada, Mexico, Bermuda and the Caribbean.

NOTE: THE CARDS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL THE SPRING OF 2008, HOWEVER, YOU MAY APPLY AT ANYTIME.
