Wetzel Lake
Wetzel Lake Park is currently a day park offering visitors serene surroundings, picnic spots, and a favorite local swimming hole (non-motorized boats only with some exceptions). Located on state forest land, the park is operated jointly by the Township of Mancelona, and the County of Antrim with assistants from the Antrim Conservation District, in partnership with the Michigan DNR. Future plans include bathhouse facilities, trails, viewing platforms, and rustic campsites with limited electrification.
Directions to Site: Wetzel Lake is located approximately 4 miles northeast of Mancelona. From Mancelona, at the intersection of US 131 and M-88, take US 131 north for approximately 2 ½ miles. Turn right on Wetzel Lake road and follow to its end (approximately 1 ½ miles). More...
Hours: Wetzel Lake Park is open May through October from morning to dusk. If you have a picture of this park you would like to see on this web site, please e-mail barnespark@antrimcounty.org
