One of Antrim County’s many assets is the Elk Rapids Day Park. This park is a true wonderland of natural beauty. It is a great place to hike the trails, hold a family picnic or bask in the beauty while working on your tan. The park offers a bathhouse, sunbathing and picnic tables with grilling areas throughout the park, along with trails for hiking. The Elk Rapids Day Park is located on South Bay Shore Drive on the edge of the village limit. The park is open May to September. Hours of operation are 8 a.m. to dusk.
