Minutes
Members Present:			Gene Dawson, Brad Kik, Jill Barnard, Bill Gadwau, Leonard Klein, Jim Palmer, and Mike McPherson

I.          Call to Order
	Bob Peterson called the meeting to order at 3:02 p.m.
II.        Public Comment
	None.
III.       Approval of Minutes
	Motion by Gene Dawson, supported by Leonard Klein, to approve the minutes from the September 24, 2007 meeting as written.  Motion carried – unanimous.
IV.       Household Hazardous Waste
		Christy Roman spoke on the Household Hazardous Waste Days and the light crowd of people this year. Discussion ensued over potentially changing the way we do the collection next year. Discussion ensued over the Antrim Conservation District and their role in the collection.
V.         Recycling
	Discussion ensued over the County recycling program and the different options Counties have to accomplish a recycling system. Joe presented the options we have.    Discussion ensued over the Pros and Cons of a millage. Motion by Jill Barnard, supported by Gene Dawson to ask the Board of Commissioners if they would be willing to place a millage on the ballot in November 2008 for recycling.  Motion carried – unanimous.   Discussion ensued over the millage on Charlevoix County.
