VII.             Member Comment

Raelene Reilly spoke on the recycling survey that she did and the meeting that she had in order to have a grass roots movement bring recycling to the area.

Raelene asked two questions that the group had in regards to the Solid Waste Management Plan, and does it expire.  The second question was if there is granting for a recycling program.

Joe informed Raelene that the plan needed to be updated every five years but does not expire and some places have given grants in the past for recycling bins.

Janet asked the Council about the existence of the Board and what they want to do for the future.  Discussion ensued over how Antrim County could take recycling to other places in the County.

The Council discussed their role and if they supported recycling or not.

Meeting adjourned at 4:10 p.m.
