Bob Peterson called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m. |

II. Public Comment |

III. Approval of Minutes |

|
|
Motion by Leonard Klein, supported by Gene Dawson, to approve the minutes from the May 22, 2006 meeting. Motion carried – unanimous. |

|
IV. Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Days |
||||
|
|
Christie Roman gave an update to the Committee on the progress of the HHW Days and how the District is promoting it. Ms. Roman noted that there is a need for volunteers and will be contacting the Committee with the help of the Coordinator/Planners office. |

|
V. Solid Waste Policy |
||||
|
|
Mr. Meyers informed the Committee that there is a push in Lansing to update the Solid Waste Policy. Mr. Meyers further noted that this would affect our Solid Waste Plan so he will keep the Committee up to date. |

VII. Member Comment |
||||
|
|
Raelene Reilly informed the Committee that she is going to gather input on recycling throughout the entire county. The Committee agreed that it would be a good idea but it should start as a citizen based group. |
