III. Approval of Minutes |

Motion by Bill Gadwau, supported by Gene Dawson, to approve the minutes from the February 26, 2007 meeting as presented. Motion carried – unanimous. |

IV. Household Hazardous Waste Days |
|||

Joe Meyers indicated that the Committee needed to recommend if they would like to continue to contract with the Antrim Conservation District to provide their Household Hazardous Waste Days.
Motion by Leonard Klein, supported by Raelene Reilly to recommend the Public Works Committee recommend the Board of Commissioners contract with the Antrim Conservation District for the Household Hazardous Waste Days (HHW) for the 2007 year. Motion carried – unanimous.
Christy Roman spoke on different cost savings that we can accomplish through different grants (MDA Clean Sweep) and directing people to different places to dispose of their waste.
Discussion ensued over this years cost to the consumers.
Motion by Jill Barnard, supported by Gene Dawson to collect a $5.00 fee from every person that drops off any hazardous waste for up to 50 pounds and 50 cents a pound for more than fifty pounds. Motion carried – unanimous.
The Committee also discussed that donations could be taken at the site to off set the collection.
