I. Call to Order |

Don Schuiteman called the meeting to order at 1:03 p.m. |

II. Public/Member Comment |

III. Approval of the May 22, 2007 Minutes |
|||
|
|
Motion by Jerome Dobrzelewski, supported by Russ Blasdell, to approve the May 22, 2007 minutes as presented. Motion carried – unanimous. |
||

IV. Petoskey Stone Festival |
|||
|
|
Joe Meyers updated the Board on the success of last year and indicated that they hopefully should have enough money in the account to start things for next year at the appropriate time. Linda indicated that all of the vendors were pleased even though sales were a bit down for the event, probably because of the economy.
Discussion ensued over the festival. |

V. Wetzel Lake Lease |

|
Joe indicated that the Parks Committee decided to proceed with the lease as presented by the DNR. Joe indicated that the lease is currently being reviewed by Legal Counsel.
Al Pecar indicated that he spoke with Janet Person of the Village of Bellaire and they spoke about possibly trading our raft for their dock. |

VI. Various Matters |

Discussion ensued over the budget. The Board suggested having a forum on the trails that Antrim County currently has. Discussion ensued over the snowmobile trail from Bellaire to Alba and the status of such a trail.
Motion by Jerry Dobrzelewski, supported by Al Pecar, to recommend the Parks Committee accept the budget as presented. Motion carried – unanimous.
The Commission asked Joe to add the “trails forum” to the next agenda. |
