Don Schuiteman called the meeting to order at 1:00 p.m. |

III. Approval of the April 20, 2006 Minutes |

|
|
Motion by Al Pecar, supported by Jerry Dobrzelewski, to approve the April 20, 2006 minutes. Motion carried – unanimous. |
||

IV. Website Update |
|||
|
|
Joe Meyers informed the Commission of the improvements regarding the website.
The Commission inquired about the cost that has been paid to LIAA for all work on the website.

|
V. Petoskey Stone Festival Update |
|||
|
|
Ms. Gallagher informed the Commission of events regarding the Petoskey Stone Festival. Ms. Gallagher indicated the issue of the Petoskey Stone Queen.
Motion by Russ Blasdell, supported by Mike Crawford, to award the Petoskey Stone Queen crown to the family of the original recipient. Motion carried – unanimous.
Ms. Gallagher indicated that we could potentially have an essay contest and a stone skipping contest.
Ms. Gallagher indicated that she would like to work with the Bellaire Conservation Club to see if they can set up their fishing pond at Barnes Park. |

Jerome Dobrzelewski indicated that he was very disappointed in the DNR due to the time it has taken to acquire the Park at Wetzel Lake.
