Don Schuiteman called the meeting to order at 1:06 p.m. |

II. Public/Member Comment |

|
|
Gene Dawson spoke on the Sevald Property and the ways to acquire it. Discussion ensued over the Sevald Property and the Bachelder Road Property. Discussion ensued over oil and gas revenues and creating a recreation fund with them. The Committee indicated that they would like this as an agenda item for next month. Gene spoke on a potential boat launch site on Lake Michigan at the lore road extension. The Committee decided to re-look into a potential boat launch site on Lake Michigan. |

III. Approval of the March 15, 2007 Minutes |

Motion by Jerome Dobrzelewski, supported by Mike Crawford, to approve the March 15, 2007 minutes as presented. Motion carried – unanimous |

IV. Petoskey Stone Festival |
|||
|
|
The Committee discussed the potential of having the Boy Scouts help at the festival. Don Schuiteman indicated that he would contact the Bellaire Boy Scouts.
Discussion ensued over the vendors and sponsors of the festival.

Discussion ensued over reservations. |

|
Jerome spoke on a boat launch at Barnes Park.
Gene spoke on the potential impacts of beaches with boat launches.
The Committee spoke a spook trail at Barnes Park and the Wetzel Lake raft. |

|
Joe Meyers indicated that he would check on the subcommittee for the spook trail and what the committee decided on the raft at Wetzel Lake.
Mike Meriwether and Eileen Wallick spoke on chipping the Barnes Park interpretive trail.
Russ spoke on the fishpond at the Petoskey Stone Festival.
Jerome spoke on the inland waterway canoe race.
