6. Barnes Park Update |
|
|
|
Eileen Wallick, Park Manager, gave the Committee an update in regards to Barnes Park.
Ms. Wallick noted that they are having a hard time moving the fire rings due to the weight.
Ms. Wallick indicated that they were planning on hooking up the electricity to the cabin before it was completed and so the park would be without power for over a week.
Ms. Wallick noted that the counter is going to be 36 inches tall which would make the average person/employee bend down. Ms. Wallick further noted that to comply with ADA requirements only having a portion of the counter at 36 inches is necessary.
Motion by Bob McLeod, supported by Joe Allen, to authorize the front portion of the counter to be at 42 inches and the side portion be 36 inches. Motion carried – unanimous.
The Committee indicated that they felt the basketball court would last longer if it were concrete.
Motion by Bob McLeod, supported by Joe Allen to accept the Drenth Brothers bid for the concrete basketball court. Motion carried – unanimous. |
