3. Medical Examiner Regional Survey |
|
Peter Garwood, Coordinator/Planner, distributed a copy of a Medical Examiner survey of the counties in Region 10. The Committee directed Mr. Garwood to discuss an arrangement with Dr. Benson and come back next week with a recommendation. |

4. Sheriff Department |
|
Dan Bean informed the Committee that a dispatcher who was on probation was unable to learn the functions of the job in a timely manner and was discharged. |
|
|
|
Undersheriff Bean informed the Committee that Cal Smith was hired to fill the vacant deputy position. |
|
|
|
The Sheriff has ordered a table that automatically raises and lowers so the animal control officers will no longer have to lift the euthanized dogs. |

5. Emergency Operations Update |

² Generator update |
|
Carl Goeman, Emergency Services Coordinator, informed the Committee that Burt Thompson, Road Commission Manager, is waiting for one more quote for moving the old 911 generator from the 911 Dispatch Center to the Road Commission building. Steve Bratschi, Dispatch Supervisor is checking to see if 911 funds can cover the cost of moving the generator. |

² Homeland Security Grant |
|
Mr. Goeman informed the Committee he has ordered eight (8) 800 megahertz radios and accessories which uses up the most recent homeland security grant. The radios will be distributed to each of the police departments in the County. |
