Antrim Creek Natural Area
ACNA Commission Members Present:			Robert McLeod, Carl Veenstra and Marion Williams
Members Absent:			Mary Kay McDuffie and Gary Strange
Staff Present:			Pete Garwood, Eileen Wallick
Others Present:			Jacob Veenstra, Karen Jones, David Jones and Nancy Jones
1.         Call to Order
	The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman Robert McLeod.
2.         Public Comment
	Nancy Jones informed the Commission that the pamphlet in the Traverse City Record Eagle, on the recreational sites throughout the area, states that there is no formal trail system at ACNA.  Mr. McLeod tasked the Coordinator/Planner's Office with speaking with the Record Eagle to inform them that there is a formal trail system.
3.         Review of the May 8, 2006 Minutes
	The Commission reviewed the minutes from the May 8, 2006 meeting.
4.         Grant Update
	Coastal Management Program (CMP) Grant Joe Meyers noted that the Coordinator/Planner's Office received an email that they would be reviewing all of the grant applications this week and they will let us know shortly.
5.         Phragmites
	The Commission toured the Phragmites patches in the natural area to see how invasive the plant species was.
6.         ACNA Members Terms
	Mr. McLeod noted that Mary Kay McDuffie has stepped down from the Commission.  Mr. McLeod encouraged the Commission and the attending public to recruit members of the public to submit an interest notification form for the vacant position.

	None.
