Antrim Creek Natural Area
ACNA Commission Members Present:			Robert McLeod and Carl Veenstra
Members Absent:			Gary Veenstra, Marion Williams, and Gary Strange
Staff Present:			Joe Meyers
Others Present:			Gerald Kascowniak, and Kevin Heard
1.         Call to Order
	The meeting was called to order at 7:07 p.m. by Chairman Robert McLeod.  Due to a lack of a quorum, no official action could be taken.
2.         Public Comment
	None.
3.         Review of the July 10, 2006
	The Commission reviewed the minutes from the July 10, 2006 meeting.
4.         ANCA Update
	Discussion ensued over the Coastal Management Program Grant that we are submitting for this year.  Joe Meyers informed the Committee that it was the same grant submitted last year.  Mr. Meyers informed the Committee that a piece of property north of the natural area is for sale.  Kevin Heard informed the Committee that the property is currently in closing with a buyer.  Carl Veenstra inquired about a trail that has never officially been marked.  Carl asked if he could get a trailhead marker to show people where the trail is. Discussion ensued over creating an animal habitat by the power lines.  Bob McLeod indicated that the boy scouts might be able to help with this project.  The Committee asked Joe to check with the Antrim Conservation District about getting wild flowers.
