Our Mission |
| The mission of the Antrim County Commission on Aging is to improve the quality of life, and maintain the highest level of independence for those persons age 60 and over. These services are made possible through Federal, State and County funding, as well as donations. | |

| Information and Assistance | | An excellent information source, the Commission on Aging helps many people by answering questions about specific services and how to access programs and agencies throughout the state. back to top | | | | | Activities | Activities at the Senior Centers Include: |
| Loan Closet | | The loan closet is available to all individuals over the age of 55 who require items such as wheel chairs, hospital beds, canes, bedside commodes, bath benches, Depends, Hoyer lifts, etc. There is no charge for the use of these items. back to top |

Meals | | Four nutrition sites are located throughout Antrim County. Meals are served at noon. |

Delivered
Meals |
|
Meals are delivered throughout Antrim County to eligible homebound seniors, who are unable to prepare nutritious meals. The program is designed to enable individuals to live independently. back to top |

Certified Nursing Assistants provide in-home assistance with activities of daily living for home-bound, frail individuals. These activities include: |

|
To assist with a needed break in the caregiver role, a certified nursing assistant will provide for mentally or physically disabled and frail elderly: |

Program |
|
Homemakers provide routine household tasks to maintain a clean and healthy living environment for homebound individuals with functional limitations. |

Program |
|
Homechore services can be provided for the following: |

- installation and removal of screens and storm windows
|
|
| |
|
- installation of weather stripping
|
|
| |
|
- washing walls and windows
|
|
| |
|
- trimming low-hanging branches
|
|
| |
|
- arranging for routine health and safety concerns
|
|
| |
|
|
|

| Hall Rentals |
|
The main Hall of the Bellaire Senior Center is available for rentals through the Commission on Aging, in conjunction with Area Seniors, Inc. Discounts are available for residents of Forest Home and Kearney Townships, members of Area Seniors, Inc. and non-profit organizations. There is a full commercial kitchen available for evenings/weekends. Seating capacity of the non-smoking, no-alcohol facility is for 150 people.
