Meetings:  This committee meets the Tuesday of the week before the Board meeting. Location will be Room 211 of the Antrim County Building at 203 E. Cayuga Street, Bellaire, Michigan. Note:  Prior to October 9, 2014, the activities of the BLI Committee were divided among three committees; Buildings & Grounds, Parks & Lands, and Public Works.

The Buildings, Lands & Infrastructure Committee (“BLI Committee”) oversees the maintenance of the County physical infrastructure and discusses and makes recommendations to the County Board of Commissioners on operational and policy matters concerning the planning, implementation, and operation of the County's public infrastructure.

They also discuss and make recommendations to the County Board of Commissioners on operational and policy matters concerning soil erosion and forest management (through a contract with the Antrim Conservation District), and agriculture.

In addition, the BLI Committee discusses and makes recommendations to the County Board of Commissioners on operational and policy matters concerning the County’s park lands. They oversee the Parks Manager in operating and budgeting for Barnes Park, Elk Rapids Day Park, and the other County parks. They also exercise budgetary oversight over the activities of the Grass River Natural Area Commission.

The County Parks & Recreation Advisory Board reports to the BLI Committee.

The BLI Committee oversees the following:
     County park lands
     Construction Code Department
     Drain Commissioner
     Forestry Management
     Maintenance Department
     Operator of Dams
     Planning Department
     Soil Erosion Control

The BLI Committee also serves as oversight to:
     Antrim County Fair Board
     Brownfield Redevelopment Authority
     County Planning Commission
     County Economic Development Corporation
     Michigan State University Extension
     Solid Waste and Recycling Council

The BLI is liaison to the Northern Lakes Economic Alliance.
